Evanescence

Evanescence is a full game and meta setting based on the almighty Breathless SRD by Fari RPGs!

The Evanescence virus changed everything. The virus hits through emotions: if you get enamoured, you’ll become obsessed; if you enrage, you’ll go berserk. Sooner or later, you’ll be overrun by the virus and become an evanescent, driven by uncontrollable, emotional urges.

You can use this as the ground foundation for any sci-fi game or hack it to make it your own, or you can expand on the universe adding your own takes! 
This super condensed 6 pages rulebook (including cover and printer friendly character sheet) contains all the rules and variants, plus a little blurb introducing you to the decadente Evanescence universe. 

The book hints at factions to inspire roleplay, but you'll read more about them as I'll publish faction specific rulesets to play open tables, interactive games or just games with a deeper understanding of each group. 

I played various home games in the Evanescence world, showing a few different angles: the game assumes you'll spend time discovering, researching and fighting against opposing factions or struggling with ethics. It's a game where emotions take over, people isolate themselves to avoid stalking their lover or hurting their friends. It's a game where the cure is not there for everyone and the world is falling apart. 

There are lots of hooks hidden in the small fluff: exploring the near orbit to build stations, going underwater, surviving the sprawl and exploring weird street gangs as you try to walk on the line without falling. 

This game build includes:
- core rules using polyhedral dice as per the SRD (as opposed to my other game, Breathless Dungeons, which uses my d6 only build)
- alternative rules and guidelines for Med Kit and items
- some tweaks and additions like a solid advancement system and willpower (a once per session metacurrency option to pull of an exciting come back or to gain some edge after failing three rolls!).
